About us

Crumplehorn Cottages are unique - Owned and run by a local Polperro family. We are descended from a long line of fishermen going back hundreds of years (My Mother’s family fishing out of the port of Looe, and my father’s out of Polperro) My brother and cousin retain our family history, currently fishing out of the port of Looe.

Crumplehorn Cottages were established by my parents almost 60 years ago – Despite his advanced years my father still enjoys growing plants to fill the flower troughs at the cottages with a burst of colour.

Since taking over the family business I too take pride in offering accommodation that is to the highest standard of comfort and cleanliness. My husband Paul helps maintain each property and has designed our latest website. We are always on hand to offer help and advice if required and are hands on with the cleaning of each cottage. We are very thankful to have a great many regular guests, who return annually to their favourite cottages. It’s lovely as owners being able to welcome guests back.

On behalf of our whole family, I am committed to sustainable tourism and try to protect the beautiful Cornish coast and countryside wherever possible.

We realise how essential and expensive parking is in both resorts and have ensured that all our cottages have onsite private parking. Each cottage has its own distinct character - wooden beams, sash windows, open stone fireplaces, sun trap patios, and tranquil gardens. Three are situated streamside in Polperro, and our two Looe cottages in the exclusive Hannafore area have spectacular sea views. Each cottage is comfortably furnished with all the things you’d expect to find, plus those little extras that make your holiday one to remember. You’ll delight in finding antiques and curios placed thoughtfully throughout to compliment each cottage.

Please browse through our website to see which of our pretty cottages will make your holiday in Cornwall one to remember. We look forward to welcoming you at Crumplehorn Cottages Polperro & Looe.

Best wishes
